CHILMARK -- Five property deeds were recorded in Chilmark between July 17 and Aug. 15, but only two disclosed a sale price, ranging from $506,387 to $1,800,000. Three of the five transfers moved property among family members or into trusts.

Based on those two disclosed sales, the median price was $1,153,193. The remaining three transfers listed no sale price, which is common for family and trust transfers recorded as deeds. With only two of five transactions carrying disclosed pricing, the raw count alone does not support a characterization of the period as active or quiet.
