EDGARTOWN -- Eight property transfers were recorded in Edgartown between Sept. 18 and Oct. 17, with prices ranging from $325,000 to $3,937,500 and more than half of the deeds listing a bank, mortgage servicer or MERS entity as buyer or seller.

The median sale price among the six priced transactions was $645,000. Two deeds, covering an unaddressed Edgartown property and 4 Captains Walk, have no price recorded yet; under typical registry timing, a price usually appears within about a week of recording. Eight deeds in a one-month span is a modest count on its own, and the data provides no basis for comparison with prior periods.
